So Long, Not Goodbye, Nepal!

I left yesterday in a massive rush, having not packed properly or cleaned my room or gotten to say goodbye to everyone properly, (Prerna announced at 9 that we had to leave at 10 for my 4 o’clock flight), but managed to only forget my jandals, and still managed to get my last few jobs done in town, and then was late to the airport after all that, but the plane was delayed, the nice Nepali man let me take 5kg over my weight limit for free and I got to see a forked lightening storm over the Himalaya’s at sunset. So fantastic – but my camera memory stick was in my luggage as I’m an idiot and so no goodbye Nepal photos!

But I will be back. I love those kids, the country and the people. I will start looking for paid work there somehow!

Delhi seems VERY modern compared to Kathmandu, the airport was very fancy, but my bags took forever. I started getting worried that the Hotel wouldn’t have waited for 2 hours to pick me up, but there my name was, and a beaming Patrick at the doors!!

Bit of a blur driving through extremely congested motorways – traffic is as crazy as Nepal but everyone is in flash cars and drives much faster. Looking forward to getting into the city today and having a look around. Patrick is in charge as I have no idea where we even are let alone what we will see!

Lots of love

x
